Adrian Sutil: I want to do much better in upcoming Korean Grand Prix – Formula 1 news
Force India driver Adrian Sutil has said that he wants to do much better in the upcoming Korean Grand Prix, which will start from Friday, October 14 at the Korea International Circuit.
Sutil added that he had a bad race in 2010 at the Korea International Circuit, but for the 2011 Formula 1 season, he is aiming to put on a decent performance this weekend.
The German talked to the media and stated that he made a lot of mistakes last year in the Korean race. In addition, he mentioned that his car’s brakes were glazed during the race and at the end of the Grand Prix, he crashed with Sauber’s Kamui Kobayashi.
Apart from that, he discussed the 2011 Japanese Grand Prix and commented, “I had a good start but after 50 metres I saw Kobayashi was so slow. I was already in the middle of the track, and I actually had to brake, lost all the acceleration and lost two positions
to Paul and Petrov. On the next lap I gained a position back from Petrov, so I was right behind Paul.”
The 28-year-old driver was not so disappointed with his Japanese race results. He started his Grand Prix from the 11th position at the Suzuka racetrack and after struggling with his VJM04 car, he came on the same place in the final
race classifications.
The Silverstone-based outfit driver further added that the race was not bad in Japan and that he had quite a good feeling about the Japanese Grand Prix. He stated that the car also performed well at the Suzuka circuit.
Sutil went on to say, “I think this time at the start it was very important to be on the softs, because it's tougher to pass, or at least I thought it was. In the end it wasn't really, it was quite easy to pass. But we thought the start was important and
that's why we chose the soft.”
Let’s see how the Force India driver, Sutil performs in the 2011 Korean Grand Prix this weekend.
