Adrian Sutil: Team needs more time to understand the upgraded package – Formula 1 update
Formula 1 team Force India driver Adrian Sutil has recently updated the media that the team needs more time to understand its new package, as the winter testing was quite tough.
He also mentioned they are looking for more speed and that surely they will pick up their race pace very soon.
Sutil said that he is sure the first race of the season will be quite tough among the strong contenders because all F1 teams really worked hard over the test sessions.
The German driver admitted that, the new VJM04 car has a lot of reliability and it will help the team into the initial races of the season. He said other than Force India, other midfield teams, including Sauber and Toro Rosso also put their substantial steps
forward with their new packages.
The 28-year-old Sutil expressed his feelings and says he is happy with VJM04's stability, but it needs more work requires getting the car up to speed.
Regarding its pre-season run, the car experienced some technical issues in the beginning while the team tried their best to run with force. The team made unexpected progress, so after their good run over the test sessions, they are looking forward to a successful
upcoming season.
Sutil is hopeful about his upgraded chassis and expects it will pay dividends in Australia although the car is not as quick as it needs to be.
He said, “It is always a good feeling to finish the first race, as you then know that the season has really started.”
He went on to say, “It was a crazy race in Australia last year when the rain came in; I think only 10 cars made it to finish. This is also why I think it is so important to finish the race in Melbourne - there are usually points to be won if you see the
chequered flag.”
It will be interesting to see how the German competes with Force India’s reliable car, among the strong F1 contenders in Melbourne.
