Adrian Sutil confident of enjoying success with Force India – Formula 1 news
Adrian Sutil is confident that he can enjoy success with Force India in the coming years and claimed that he has no plans to switching teams at the moment.
Force India have enjoyed a very good season until now in 2013 and the team looks set to score a few podium finishes in the European half.
Therefore, Sutil said, “I think we have a good chance to keep moving forwards, and I’ll try the same thing for myself — with what team is quite trivial. At the
moment I think I can be very successful with this team.”
Although the German driver was out of action for one complete year, he was even more competitive when he returned this year. There was immense pressure on him,
but he started off brilliantly with a strong performance in the season opener in Australia. At one point, he was leading the race and looked good for a podium.
However, the tyre strategy did not work out for the Silverstone based squad and Sutil had to settle for seventh place in the end. He encountered some bad luck afterwards
and struggled to match team-mate Paul di Resta in some of the events.
Despite that, the 30-year-old driver did not give up hope, as he knows that things will eventually work out for him. He is fully focussed on delivering positive
results for the team and that has pleased the entire camp.
However, Sutil is not interested in talking about his future plans at the moment. When asked about the next season, he replied, “It’s still too early to say. At
the moment I’m happy to be in Formula 1 with Force India. In the future, it is important for me to win, but I am in Formula 1.”
At the moment, Force India are ahead of McLaren in the Constructor’s Championship, which is such a positive thing for them. If they continue bringing in strong
updates, the drivers will manage to maintain the lead. Moreover, they might get into a position where they can possible fight for a victory, especially on a track where they are stronger compared to the rest.
However, the most important thing for the team is to continue scoring double points in very race.
