Adrian Sutil eyeing Formula 1 comeback with Sauber – Formula 1 news
Adrian Sutil, former Force India driver has said that he will feel delighted to have the chance to comeback in F1 with Sauber-Ferrari.
Sauber driver Sergio Perez has shown an incredibly amazing performance in the 2012 Malaysian Grand Prix held at Sepang International Circuit on Sunday and secured the second podium after following Fernando Alonso of Ferrari in quite difficult and strange
track conditions.
Moreover, there have been many rumours regarding Perez taking the place of Ferrari’s Felipe Massa who has been facing immense difficulties in the season so far and has not been able to secure even a single point. Furthermore, these rumours have become even
stronger after the second GP.
Therefore, Sutil eyes up for the Sauber team’s vacancy and expects to make his F1 comeback sooner or later.
“I want to go back – hopefully very soon. You have to look around at where the opportunities are. I’ve always thought very, very well of Sauber, and this year they are doing a great job. They are one of the strongest private teams. Definitely that would
be a nice place. I’m keeping in top shape and I’m very motivated. I had wonderful years with Force India, but now I’m really looking forward to a new challenge. I’m really ready – at any time. Right now I won’t race somewhere else [other than F1] because I
see great opportunities to be back soon,” said Sutil.
Nonetheless, Perez has said that he is very much pleased with his performance in the second race after which he expressed his firm commitment with his team for the season ahead.
Besides, the team principle of Ferrari, Stefano Domenicali asserted that they will provide each and everything to Massa which can prove out to be helpful for him in overcoming his deficiencies for the next races.
He also said that the Brazilian driver has changed his plan of going to Brazil after second race, to see his family and made his way to the factory of the Scarlet team in Maranello in order to seek guidance from the engineers to identify the mistakes he
has committed in the last two races.
