Adrian Sutil not in hurry to sign contract extension with Force India – Formula 1 news
Force India’s Adrian Sutil has recently claimed that he is not in a hurry to sign a new contract with the team despite the fact that his contract is expected to come to an end after the end of the 2011 Formula 1 season.
“It's not a bad thing to wait until after the season because it's not all said after the first half of the season. Some drivers turn it around in the second half and they're on the way up. Maybe some teams will want them. Sometimes I think it's unusual
that the teams get their drivers early in the season, because you have to take an average of the whole season. I don't have that problem,” he told the media.
Sutil and his teammate Paul di Resta have been scoring some pretty good results for the team as they have qualified until the Q3 round of the qualifying session on many occasions this year and the team is currently in 7th place in the
constructors’ standings with 26 points.
The Force India driver gave the team some pretty good results in the 2010 Formula 1 season as well and he has proved that he has the ability to perform at his best and push the car to the limits if required.
“I feel very happy here. I've been driving here for a long time and it's always in my heart. It's a great feeling when we have success and when we can see it's going in the points now,” he explained.
With just 8 races left in the 2011 Formula 1 season, the team is now aiming for the 6th place at least in the constructors’ standings as Sauber is just 9 points ahead of them in 5th place.
Adrian Sutil has been performing really well and the team is satisfied with how he has been driving for them as a result of which it is quite clear that he does not have much to worry about and his seat is pretty much secure at Force India.
