Adrian Sutil says he is ready to race in 2013 – Formula 1 news
Adrian Sutil has said that he is ready to race in the 2013 Formula 1 season and has shown desire to secure a drive with Force India.
Sutil was convicted of bodily harming Eric Lux in the late January during this year and faced 18-month jail term suspension. Moreover, he was handed a €200,000 fine and his access to some specific countries was restricted.
However, he has recently said that he is very much ready to take part in next season and asserted that he can travel to all the countries which are included in the 2013 F1 Calendar.
“We checked of course - me and my management - we checked all the countries and there's no problem for me to travel, so that's why I'm also here in Bangkok without any trouble!” Sutil said. “So all the problems I had last winter are solved, it's a new beginning.”
The German driver has been considered as favourite for Nico Hulkenberg’s replacement in Force India for the next season. Furthermore, a source from the Silverstone based squad has recently stated that they are looking forward to announce their next year’s
driver line-up soon and are more likely to take Sutil to partner Paul di Resta in the coming season.
On the other hand, the 29-year-old has said that he is expecting to sign the agreement soon and is waiting for the decision of Force India team principal, Vijay Mallya in this regard.
“They know who I am, they know how to work with me so in the last five years we've got a lot of experience,” he added. “There's nothing too much to say, it's all up to Vijay; it's Vijay's decision and hopefully he will make the right one so that I am in
the car!”
Additionally, he said that his aim is to emerge as one of the most competitive drivers in the sport for which he is trying very hard.
The veteran driver has surely got the potential and it will be interesting to see whether he will be able to make his way into Force India in the next season or not.
