Adrian Sutil wishes he had a chance to team up alongside Ayrton Senna – Formula 1 news
Force India’s Formula 1 driver Adrian Sutil has said in an interview that if he had the opportunity, he would have loved to be Ayrton Senna’s teammate as he was one of the best drivers ever in the sport.
Ayrton Senna is without a doubt one of the most legendary drivers the sport has ever produced. The Brazilian won three world championships and had one of the most amazing runs in the history of the sport when he drove alongside Alain Prost in McLaren. It
was quite unfortunate as he passed away as a result of an accident during the San Marino Grand Prix.
On the other hand, Adrian Sutil became a part of the sport back in 2007 with Spyker Ferrari before joining Force India in 2008. The first couple of seasons were pretty tough for him but in 2010, the young German secured 47 points to take the 11th
place in the drivers’ standings which was quite impressive for the team.
In 2011, he had a good run again as he is currently in 12th place with 10 points and now, he is hoping to improve his performance and maybe make it big one day in Formula 1.
Other than that, Sutil also stated that Ferrari have always been his dream team and that he would love to drive for them in the future and in the past as well if he had the chance.
“I'm a big Ferrari fan and that's why I would have loved to race for them in the past, but also it’s one of my dreams for the future,” he said.
He added that if he had the chance, he would reintroduce V12 engines with much more speed along with Turbocharging. Sutil stated that he loves the sound of a big Formula 1 engine and that turbocharged engines are his favourite.
Nevertheless, the British Grand Prix was quite unlucky for the Force India driver as he was unable to score a single point there but he is hoping for good results in the near future and probably hoping for some improvements as well.
