A.C Milan Vice-President, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Adriano-c3773 Galliani, has hailed his team after their win over Udinese over the weekend.
Milan made a late comeback to seal a 2-1 win over Francesco Guidolin’s men at Stadio Friuli on Saturday, February 11. The hosts were riding on the early lead provided by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Antonio-Di-Natale-c6306, but Maxi Lopez and Stephan El-Shaarawy
turned the tables late on. The Rossoneri moved top of the league table after the win, as Juventus’s weekend game was snowed off.
Udinese were unbeaten at home before the game against Milan, and had won 10 of their 11 matches played at Udine. Galliani has hailed his team’s win as ‘worth 7 points.’ The Rossoneri chief is delighted with the victory and he is
relieved to see his team sitting atop the table.
While talking to the official club website, Galliani said,
"Now we're top of the table. The work done by Maxi Lopez and El Shaarawy was worth seven points because 10 minutes from the end we were third in the table. Now until Wednesday we're on top of the league and it was important to
put 6 points between us and Udinese and four points between us and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lazio-c39775.”
The 67-year-old has insisted that had Lopez and El-Shaarawy not produced their magic, his team would have been sitting in the third place.
Milan have had a struggling time of late, as they were winless in their last three games prior to the visit to Udine. Galliani believes that the win will boost the confidence in the camp for everyone including the manager and the
players.
"We had 14 players out today and a win in Udine was very important for the morale of the team. It's a win that will change the fans' mood as well as the players and the coach's." added the Rossoneri chief
The Italian Champions sit atop of the league table with 47 points from 23 matches played so far, albeit having two extra games than their closest rivals, Juventus.
The Diavolo will play http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 in their next game in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday, February 15, 2012.
