A.C Milan Vice-President, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Adriano-c3773 Galliani, has refused to rule out a summer move for Liverpool midfielder, Alberto Aquilani.
Reports in the Italian media have linked Aquilani with a move to San Siro and Galliani has admitted that he is attracted by the midfielder. Milan are in desperate need of a top quality midfielder and after being out-priced in their initial targets, they
might look towards a cheaper option in terms of Aquilani.
Galliani admitted that Aquilani has all the characteristics which the Rossoneri are looking for in a midfielder and they might be tempted to sign him.
Talking to the reporters Galliani said, “We could talk about Aquilani. He could be of interest. He’s a midfielder with the characteristics that we are looking for so, like with other players in his role, he could be of interest.”
The Italian international has not had best of the times since leaving A.S http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603 for Liverpool in 2009. Aquilani had a troublesome debut season with the Reds and could not adjust to the conditions in the Premier League. He was loaned out to Juventus in the
2010/11 season, where he had an impressive season.
The 27-year-old has re-joined the Reds for the 2010/11 campaign and is training with them. He has also attracted interest from Fiorentina but http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 do not want him to loan him for another season.
On the other hand, the 67-year-old has once again rejected talks linking striker, Antonio Cassano, with a move away from San Siro. Recent reports have linked the former Sampdoria striker with a move to Genoa but Galliani has rubbished the rumours and has
insisted that he will only move if he wants to, otherwise the club has no plans to sell him.
“There is nothing in these stories. Cassano is a Milan player. A move to Genoa for Antonio could only occur if he asks to leave. If he doesn’t do that then he will definitely stay here with us.” added the business tycoon
Galliani confirmed that there will be no more departures from the club and he will only buy one more player.
