After the signing for the Valencia star, Jordi Alba, many thought that the Brazilian full-back might be on his way out of the Catalan club, but his agent thinks otherwise.
Adriano’s agent recently admitted that the Brazilian full-back is happy at the Catalan club and will not be parting ways from it in the near future.
Adriano was bought from Sevilla as a replacement for Eric Abidal. The Frenchman, because of his age, got injured and there was not a single defensively solid player to replace him in the left-back position. Therefore, Josep Guardiola decided to sign the
Sevilla midfielder, Adriano, in order to play him in the left-back position.
However, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Adriano-c3773 wasn’t able to impress the fans with his defensive performances. Even though he was phenomenal while moving up the flank and aiding the attackers, he was not good defending for the Catalan giants and that is the reason why, after Eric Abidal’s
long-term injury, Barcelona needed a permanent replacement for the Frenchman.
Therefore, after the departure of Josep Guardiola, Tito Vilanova was announced as the new manager and he decided that he will buy at least two defensive players in the summer transfer window.
Since Abidal’s spot was vacant and Barcelona needed a left-back to start the new season, there was no better option other than signing the Valencia star, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Valencia-c40863 and was at his brilliant best during the Euro
2012 as well.
As Adriano’s first-team spot was in jeopardy, many thought that he might leave the club, but his agent recently gave out a statement which clearly stated that the Brazilian full-back will not be parting ways with the Catalan club.
While speaking about Adriano, Paolo Alfonso said:
''Adriano is very happy at Barca and will continue there, next season. It was very difficult for him to finally arrive at this club and he will continue here. Furthermore, the relationship with the board is great.”

''As is normal for a player with two years remaining on his contract, Adriano will be negotiating a renewal. But there is no hurry.''
''Right now, the player is on vacation and I will be with him in a few days.''
