Adrien Broner and Eloy Perez to brawl for WBO super featherweight title – Boxing news
Adrien Broner, the current WBO Super featherweight champion, is scheduled to defend his title against Eloy Perez, the current WBO NABO super featherweight champion, on February 25, 2012 in a 12-round bout.
The two young men will collide alongside the main event welterweight brawl between Marcos Rene Maidana and Devon Alexander. The ring will be staged at Scottrade Center situated in Saint Louis, Missouri, America. Both bouts will be televised on HBO’s Saturday
night boxing television show.
Broner will try his level best to teach Perez a lesson of his life since he is well aware of the fact that the Mexican is not a powerful brawler. Perez, infamous as ‘The Prince’, had been in a total 26 brawls and boasts a winning streak. The only problem
or somewhat deficiency visible in his wins is the calibre and ability of his opponents.
Perez though has collected seven wins by kayo yet has faced opponents who have been denoted by all and sundry as men lacking quality pugilism. In this scenario where your opponent is already weak and is of lower calibre, seven wins by knockout is definitely
a facet to worry about. It is this reason why Broner recently bashed the Prince by saying that he will knock him out in a way that will make him feel embarrassed.
Broner, best known as ‘The Problem’, has entered the ring a total 22 times and has successfully nailed all of his opponents. Adrien is a raw powered, agile, and heavy pounding 22-year-old brawler who has collected 18 of his 22 wins by knocking out the opponent
vehemently.
In addition he has collected wins over names such as Daniel Ponce De Leon and recently defended his title against Vicente Martin Rodriguez. He had also been the proud owner of vacant WBC USNBC super featherweight title, vacant WBO Inter-Continental super
featherweight title, and vacant WBC USNBC lightweight title.
Though the ‘Prince’ slightly overshadows the ‘Problem’ by his experience, to be specific by just 4 brawls, Adrien will strive hard to make Perez feel his brutal fists down to the bones. Perez has no other option but to absorb the punishment unless and until
he comes up with a plan and works out a strategy that eventually nails Adrien.
But at the moment even the analysts are favouring the 22-year-old American number one and world number two super featherweight Adrien Broner.
