Adsense.com?

Question

has anyone used adsense.com? can you use it on Xanga.com? How much do you make? do you have to be 18? just plz give me the jist of it all if you've ever used it thanks!

Adsense is great! I have used it for many years, it surely doesn't pay what it use to.

Here are some general principles for being successful with Adsense:

- Don't create a site that has the sole purpose of making adsense revenue.

- Don't try to monetize your web site to early, often times you can turn away some of your core users as they don't like to advertised to.

- Investigate the topic of your site to make sure that it fits within the terms of adsense. For example you can not place adsense on sites that are selling tobacco, drugs, guns, adult content.

- Also, not all ads pay the same. For example ads on a mortgage related site will pay about 20x what they would on a Christian blog. This of course only makes sense when you consider that adsense publishers are paid a percentage of what Google is charging the advertiser.

-- *** most important rule. Do not try to game adsense by clickig on your own ads, having friends click on ads, etc. As tempting as this consider that Google has some of the smartest people on the planet working for them to combat this type of fraud.

You don't have to be 18.
