Question:

Adult remedial handwriting materials?

Hi, I know where to get plenty of workbooks for children who are learning handwriting in gradeschool. What I am looking for are materials oriented towards ADULTS. I know the exercises may be basically the same however adults balk at using kid's books--it's a matter of self esteem. Any winning entry must include HTML reference links!

  1. I have the same problem with my 15 year old daughter because she has fine motor skill issues, so what I did was make my own. Her sister is an artist so I asked her to do basically the same thing using a lined pad that the do for kids but with out the cartoons or silly words.  So my middle daughter wrote out the alphabet using calligraphy which was easier than block letter for my younger daughter to learn.  It took a while but now my younger daughter can write so that you can read it and she can sign her name for legal purposes.  If you know an artist ask them to do the same or do it yourself and take it to some place like staples or kinkos to copy.

  2. you answerd it already. but i would call the local school districts or colleges who offer courses. the districts often have free programs as do local govt job agencies.
