  1. because it changes there sound mind of thought and gives them a different view of this world we live in TWIST THE MIND SLIGHTLY AND THEY GET OFF ON IT demon drink as they say,

  2. They don't really. Alcohol does not quench your thirst. But a lot of people enjoy drinking for the effect it has on you. And it can be very addictive, so they think it's quenching, but is actually just a craving.

  3. Because it relaxes them after a long day at work and they can sleep better.

  4. For me, it's not the alcohol and simply the experience of being drunk/buzzed but the variety of tastes to be had.  Ranging from bitter, to sweet, to fruity, to chocolately, to sour and everything in between.  It's indulgent and satisfying in much the same way a good gourmet meal would be.

  5. to help people be themselves, lowers inhibitions. heh

  6. It depends on the drink as to how "quenching" it is. If it's mostly water or soda, then yes, it will quench a thirst. Alcohol actually dehydrates you, so drinking water in between the drinks is a help.

Mostly, adults drink alcohol for the taste or for the feel of being buzzed. It's a social thing.
