  1. 3-5 atio is 1-10. So you would need at least 5 staff. However, many places try to get away will being under staffed.

  2. the ratio in California is 1 teacher to every 12 students. There would need to be 1 teacher with C.P.R. and first aid training with at least 12 child development units, and they would need at least 4 more teachers/aides with at least 6 units each. Hope that helps.

  3. 1 to 5 should be a good ratio

  4. 15 children per adult

  5. England:

Staff hold NVQ or equivalent is 1 adult to 8 children

If lead practitioner is a Nursery Teacher with degree based nursery teaching qualification then its 1:13.

Look up National Care Standards (SureStart website) .

  6. The ratio is 1-8 children  for ages 3-5 .  With at least one of the teachers having a first aid/cpr certification.  And never to be left alone with teacher assistant, a teacher must be present at all times.

  7. For children following the early years foundation stage curriculum, the ratio is 8-1, being 8 children to 1 adult, if the children are over the age of 3. Therefore 7 adults are needed to supervise 50 children.

    I'm a Pre-school teacher, hope this helps!

  8. The ratios differ for every state. But in Michigan the 3's ratio is 1:10, and you would have to go by the younger child to figure out ratio for all. So you would need 5 adults, although you might want more.  You'd have to check with your state.

  9. your ratio is 1-8 for 3-5yrs  hope it helps.

  10. um, each state has its own ratios I believe. At the daycare I worked at 3 yr old ratio was 1 to 12 but at naptime it was 1 to 24...4 yr olds were 1 to 15 and Kindergarten (5yrs) is1 to 20.

  11. For pre school it is 1-10

I think it might vary by state

  12. It depends on the age of the majority of children if there are more 3's then its 1 to 15 if more 4's then its 1 to 18 and if more 5's then its 1 to 22
