1) homologous chromosomes go to opposite poles in meiosis I or II?

2) what is the "product rule" & how to use it?

3) identify trait governed by multiple allele system.

4) in P generation, F(1) generation, F(2) generation, what do P and F stand for?

5) ratio of diff. phenotypes in F(2) generation if P generation is YYRR x yyrr?

6) epistasis trait?

7) X inactivation affect?

This is not my homework. Just general things I should know for the test/class.

  1. you gotta atleast try.  Homologous chromosomes contain the same genetic information except ones from the mom and ones from the dad.  

    Google multiple alleles, which is basically epistasis.  I believe blood type is determined by this.

    P stands for Parent, F stands for filial.  research the Punnett Square and gregor mendel.  

    X inactivation is when, in a women who has 2 x chromosomes, one is silenced so women don't have 2x the expression of genes as men.
