  1. Newspapers can cover issues in reater depth than broadcast news reports, and can get to press more quickly than a weekly news magazine.

  2. Newspapers provide more in-depth information about current affairs which happen all around the world as compared to live news reports. Also, more information can be provided as more time is given to prepare for the newspapers.

News on the papers are usually more accurate as compared to internet news as the editors have to be careful with what information they are providing. Everyone has access to the Internet and therefore, internet news can sometimes be misleading or biased.

Newspapers also provide lots of information such as entertainment news, recommendations for what to do over the weekends and weather forecasts.

Lastly, newspapers are more influential as they help to spread important messages. Advertisements are noticeable and the image or message you want to convey gets embedded in one's head by reading the newspapers. Same goes to the information provided. Readers remember the news better on the newspapers.

  3. i think the advantages of newspapers depends on where you are in the world. For instance in my country where literacy levers are significantly low,the impact of newspapers is hardly felt because 1) not many people can read or understand what's been written & 2) even the standard of english that the journalists use is low, that even the literate people are not so interested in reading them.

As a result, our broadcast media has more impact than newspapers because at least journalist can speak in the languages that the public understand and for those who don't understan english they can still somewhat follow a story by watching the pictures.
