Opens up ALOT of jobs via hotels (Atlantis is huge). Plus they would not have as nice of a down town in Nassau with all the nice stores if it were not for tourism... The island thrives off of it, no question.

It is the only industry in the islands. Without tourism The Bahamas would have extremely high unemployment.
