Question:

Advantage or Frontline???

5 kittens almost 8 weeks old and mom cat all have fleas. Its so sad. I want to help them which is best?? Frontline or advantage??

  1. i've always used frontline ! its wat dr harry recomends but i dont think thers much difference :)


  2. Revolution is what I & all my relatives,friends use for our cats.

  3. Neither. Try "Revolution"... it's by prescription only though, but much better than Frontline and Advantage in my experience....

  4. Either one - but be sure to get the smaller dose that's for kittens.  You don't want to overdose them on flea products. If you can't find the kitten dose, then each kitten should get half of a vial meant for a larger cat.  Mom of course can get a whole dose.  If they've got fleas though, they have a good chance of having tapeworm as well.  It would be wise to take a stool sample to the vet to see just what parasites they have.

    BTW - Revolution isn't safe to use in kittens under 12 weeks old (per the manufacturer).  It's a great product, just not for young kittens.

  5. There is no difference between the two where fleas are concerned. However, frontline has an advantage in that it will take care of ticks too!
