pessimism has no advantages. optimism has all advantages and no disadvantages.  behaviorism has adv & disadv - depending on how u look / act.  some behaviorism is truly +ve and helps in self development and those around us.  our environment also improves.  

the world is gloomy so we need lots of optimism and +ve behaviorism to make the world a great place to live in.  so we can do without pessimism.  the world will whatever it is move towards an ever-advancing civilization.
