  1. As the other poster said, it would be huuuge and impossible to make a device like an ipod without them.


  2. get a free ipod on this site instead of buying retail

  3. Well, if you didn't have semiconductors, and used vacuum tubes instead, if it were possible, you would need a computer the size of a large building just for one ipod. Not very portable!
