  1. looks cool........breaks are hot,,,,summer school is just starting and i love susie Q's!!!!

  2. the other answers all have it.... plus the fact that they look nicer and go well with a customized and chromed up harley

  3. the offer greater pressure at the caliper because they don't stretch or swell. they give better feel, reduce the pressure needed on the lever, making it easier to modulate.

  4. Only if you upgrade the disc and calipers too.  Or should I say that to get the best "feel" you should do all three.  Like many things it is the weakest link that matters most.  Once you upgrade the braided brake line, the other parts are the weak link (that cause mushy feeling).

    Good Luck...

  5. Yes very positive feel on the rear brake pedal, have not noticed it so much on front but with a long swing arm and a slick the feel is good so you do not lock up the rear tire using brake.

  6. Braided steel lines don't swell when the fluid gets hot as the braiding gets rid of the heat. They stay the same diameter so give constant feel.

The only bad point is that if they get damaged (not real likely) you can't see the leaking fluid until it drips off the bottom of the line. They were banned on Australian road bikes for many years because of this.

  7. Got two bikes one with steel lines and one with stock rubber. Both bikes are similar models. I can't tell any difference other than the extra cost of the steel lines.
