Advent computer training, is it a con to get yer money?

I have to fork out nearly £5,000 to go on one of their courses and they say they can get me work after 6 months. Is this company trustworthy?

What is the name of the company? Try to research it through Google. May be you can find an answer that the company was a legitimate one or not.

No one can guarantee you will get a job and £5k is an awful lot of money. You can get computer training in most programs by doing a one year or two year course at your local college or community education centre and depending on your circumstances, these can be free or something like £30 per 120 week term plus a small registration fee to cover admin.

Yeah, that's a lot of question involved. Too expensive. BTW, 6 month is very short time to learn something about computer deeply.
