  1. That will be hard to prove since all of these things have been experienced throughout Earth's history, long before humans were even here. Flood and drought caused food shortages which led to some extinctions, sea levels rise and fall dramatically during every interglacial period we can observe and we're in one now. The ice age could return at any time and there's not a thing we could do to stop it. Deforestation is a myth, there are more trees in the US today than 100 years ago.

The UN would like to use this to redistribute wealth, mostly to itself of course, and blaming western democracies is their specialty. Primarily the US as any observer can attest. If there is an earthquake, should we blame the west for that, too? In that case, the west should immediately cease all emergency aid and let your lawyers extract it instead. Who funds the rebuilding and rescue efforts after a calamity now?

No doubt the return of the ice age will be blamed on the use of fossil fuels, ignoring the fact that we're already overdue based on some prior interglacial periods.

Besides, if you believe CO2 is the culprit behind the Earth getting warmer (up until 1998 when it peaked), then every breath you exhale adds to that problem so you're not blameless wherever you live. Have you ever lit a campfire? A match or candle? Ridden in a car, bus or plane? All CO2 producers I'm afraid. Fortunately, far from being a pollutant, CO2 is essential for life on Earth and a warmer Earth has always been a good thing for people. The Golden Age you sometimes hear about was like that, abundant crops, plenty of food, little hunger or want, yet now it's somehow construed to be a bad thing if it gets warmer.

As for the UN charter and Universal Declaration, they're about as relevant as the USSR's constitution when they were run by communists. They look good on paper but nobody pays any attention unless they can twist it to their purpose.

  2. No - There is no reason to expect any of the above to happen.  These tactics are just fear mongering to create panic as an excuse to grow government.

There is no more scientific basis for these issues then there is for protecting against asteroid impacts, or UFO attacks.
