Adverse possesion case?

i purchased a property 14 years back by giving a token money, immediately after the token money i got the possession, now after 16 years i want the document to get registered, can i register my document on the basis of adverse posses ion.........it is pertinent to mention that in between those years

no legal correspondence between me and seller has been done

taxes, light bill and other aminites are been paid by me

no demand has been raised by seller during this 16 years.

can the proeprty be registered in name by the virture of adverse possesion.

  1. I would first determine if the seller is alive or dead.  Are the taxes billed to you, or to someone else and you just pay them?  Not enough info for a complete answer.  I would be careful of an attorney trying to steal this property from you.
