Advertising Group...?

Question

Where the heck can you advertise your Group to get moe members if you're not allowed to post about the group in the category it pertains to?? For intance, my group is for Labrador Retriever owners, but if I post in the Dogs category, I get a violation email

You are probably getting violation notices because someone  reported you for advertising your group.  We are not supposed to advertise our groups on Yahoo Answers in any category.  I know there are lots of people who do this and don't get reported, you just happened to be one who got reported by somebody.

There are Yahoo groups designed specifically for owners to promote their groups. Here is a link to one that is very good and has over 6000 members. http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/Group...

I'm not that group's owner/moderator, just letting you know we got a lot of new members by promoting our groups there.
