does anyone know of any REAL advertising internships (or places that i could ask about) that i can apply for in the san jose, ca area?

If you're in school, the school has mechanisms in place to help find internships.  That's the best place to start.  If you're not in school, you're going to have to know someone personally to get your foot in the door.
