Question:

Advertising Research?

My boss has asked me to research some ways to advertise a new website he intends to launch soon. In my time working for him I have had to do various tasks which have been new to me and usually I manage to complete on schedule. This task however is really beyond me. I have no contacts in advertising and definitely no ideas on advertising. I have thought of 'Metro' and studied their site and ratecards etc but I need more than one idea. I can't seem to find anything about local radio advertising. TV I know is out of the question at present, we have a budget obviously but TV is I'd imagine very, very costly. Not that he is looking for cheap either. He is thinking thousands not millions though. I am looking for ideas on a soft start maybe one or two target areas and also on a national campaign. Does anyone here have any off the wall ideas or suggestions to make. I really seem to have thought of Metro and nothing else, brick wall at the moment. Help!

  1. I would suggest CPC - cost per click advertising.  Both Yahoo and Google (http://www.google.com/adwords) offer this service.

  2. Produce a flier and send it out to all your current customers.

Are there are magazines or publications relevant to the service or industry that you are in? You could plave adverts in those. Look in the stores to see what publications are there and have a look through them. You'd probably have to buy a few but it's all in the name of research and marketing. Then contact them to find out about their advertising charges.

Get a local/national reporter to write an article on the business, include photos etc and get it published in newspapers.

  3. go for SEO, and blogging on industry forums which suits your company profile. Make sure you use the correct keywords

  4. To be most helpful it's useful to know the target industry.  Here are some general thoughts:

    - does the business belong to an industry association?  Write a press release to the association

    - write a press release to prweb.com

    - advertising is typically radio, television, trade magazines, newspapers but consider the non typical youtube (high traffic) media.

    Good luck.

  5. Look http://www.paidtoclick.in Advertise your website there.

I found there website through an article that specifically listed they as a good website that sells high quality traffic. I purchased 5,000 visitors to my website, and noticed the difference before I even checked my logs! I am so glad that I finally found a way to market my website that can be done quickly. I know how important SEO is, but they have to promote in other ways too. I know I've found a working method!

I just wanted to say how impressed I was with there service. My campaigns were set up promptly and delivered as promised. I was impressed with the results as well. I purchased traffic for two of my websites and I received over 1450 signups for the first website and over 1030 signups for the second. (That's less than $0.01 a lead! Try finding that elsewhere!).

There advertising works great. I'm using a direct landing page for my campaign and have been tracking every ad. A very high amount of visitors have been browsing my site and my conversion rates have gone up..

Ever since I began advertising with Quality Traffic Supply, my sales have greatly increased. Since I now have a steady source of traffic which is targeted to my content, I now get a good return on investment. There traffic has worked wonders for me. I buy about 5,000 visitors a month to split up between my 2 websites, and for every $10 I spend there I bring in another $30!
