Advertising in Australia and New Zealand?

Hi there, I would like to advertise on yahoo as I find google to be too expensive. My business is only running throughout New Zealand and Australia. Is there a cheaper way for me to advertise but also get the word out there about my business and also generate leads at the same time.

Link sharing is a very common and inexpensive way to advertise your business.  This is how it works:

You find local business with websites that are related to your business.  In other words, if you own a pet supply company, look for veterinarians, groomers,etc.  Tell them that you will post a link on your website directing traffic to them if they will do the same for you.

This will not only put your business out there for people that wouldn't otherwise see you, but it will also generate valid leads because these people already are interested in something similar / related to what you are offering.
