Advice On Travel To New Zealand?

I have read or heard somewhere that when you arrive at the airport of whatever in New Zealand that you have to pay some money in the form of tax/duty.

Is this true?

No, you do not have to pay any money on arrival (unless you bring in massive amounts of tobacco products/alcohol in which case you will be taxed).

There is a fee you must pay on departure, however. The departure fee is between $22 and $25 NZD, depending on which airport you depart from.
