Advice Please? Drug dealings, Daughter`s friend

My 10 yr old has a girl-friend. The family is "poor" Friend was in backseat bragging her brother made money selling medication (parents) She was very nonchalant about it.I do not want my daughter to be friends anymore, Any thoughts, Advice ,Please. On the other hand I hate to hurt this girls feelings, I`ve also talked to my daughter telling how bad this is,

I disagree with "Judge Judy". I would try and steer your daughter away from this family.You need to lay down the main law here. This family could hurt your daughter. Selling drugs on the street is illegal,no matter how nice this girl might be,there are 2 things you have to do.1,you MUST get your daughter away from this family. 2,report this to CPS for the sake of your friends daughter,she needs a stable home.

I wouldn't talk to the parents since it is their drugs that the brother is selling but I would let the authorities know so that they could put an end to this or get that lil girl out of that situation.  As for letting your daughter hang out with her, I'd still let her.  The lil girl doesn't know any better since that is what she is raised around.  Do as you have done and tell your daughter that what the brother is doing is wrong and that it is not acceptable.

you have to set boundaries for your daughter. Like dont allow her to visit the friends house but allow the friend to visit yours. Controlling the environment of a child is very important. I dont think ending their friendship is the answer, it's not the little girls fault her family is a mess. I think having a talk with both of them in a around about way on drugs and meds would help.

at 10 I would hope you supervise all play anyways ..dont take it out on the girl for her brothers actions ..Talk to that girl tell her what her brother is doing is very bad  and very sad..talk to their mom ..god lady they are kids ..you can help and all you think to do is ..put a fence around your daughter?
