Question:

Advice for becoming rich, from the rich?

Have you ever really read or listened to the advice from people like Donald Trump. It sounds all rosy and all, but if you really watch it, people (no matter how cunning) that actually make it big in business, would still need one of the following:

-genius

-inheritance

-connections

All this advice on how to be confident or smart or efficient etc. can only take you so far..some of it is just luck.

My father and I have discussed this many times, drawing examples from within our state. And always reach the same conclusion...only the rich get richer.

  1. Not true, I was born very poor, got a good education by sacrificing, joining the military to use the G.I. Bill, worked hard, lived below my means and invested wisely.  I became a millionaire in my 50's and semi retired at 58.  Now I do the things I enjoy which is helping people lead more productive lives.  Your attitude will keep you poor.

  2. Unfortunately, genius is the least reliable way to get rich.  Inheritance (of wealth and position), and connections are key.

Also: It often requires you to learn to silence your conscience, or do away with it altogether (assuming you started out with one).  You must be willing to bend and break rules and laws, have a general disregard for the welfare other human beings, and be willing to exploit and often abuse people in the name of greater profit margins.

    Best of luck!

  3. Well ! yes, the rich gets richer. No doubt about it. You are right, but says you ain't rich now doesn't mean you are doom or bound to be that way forever.

You got chance to make it to rich & then have the chance of making it to become richer. Rich is a process of accumulating wealth, making money faster compare to others, being able to get people to make money for you, being able to invest & reinvest by not using a single cent of yours.

The end part of it is still up to you, it is a matter of how much do you know in manipulating your money, people (who work under you), wealth (propreties, shares & etc), spending.

Luck is a mere small percentage. Going in to an un-charted territory and being able to return safe is luck, but going in with details & informations and return safe is effort.

  4. I think that wealth is kind of a contract that some people were born with.  It's like here baby, here is a chance, if you open the right doors, the money will pour out,  hard work or no hard work.  Then there are others who have artistic contracts or alcoholic contracts or autistic contracts and what we do with the contracts - that is, how we overcome or invest our actions and our lives based on the contracts we start out with - becomes our story. It sounds kinda funny I guess.  People think they are immune to all kinds of things happening to them. Like having a lot of money and then --- poof! --- something out of their control happens and it is gone and they are working at Lowes for the rest of their lives with no retirement fund.  So nothing is permanent. That's why I get a kick out of some people criticizing low income workers for not getting a college education because I see that some day they might be working next to them at The H Depot (sorry).

  5. rich,in what way? you must have peace of mind, peace in spirit.seek wisdom and truth.   start by being freindly to all and you will find happiness. be likeable.

  6. i definatly agree with you...the rich get richer...the middle class stays middle class or gets poorer
