Question:

Advice for cyst on my jawline...?

I have a deep and painful cyst on my jawline, and it's been there for about two days. I'm taking medication for my acne (Minocin), but these few days I just seem to be breaking out for some reason (perhaps because school is starting soon). Anyway, I'm also putting Benzaclin on the cyst but it's taking awhile to heal. To speed up the process, I've also been applying derma-e tea tree/e-oil since I heard tea tree oil can really reduce the size of a cyst. Whenever I touch it I feel a hard bump underneath my skin.

Any advice on how to make it smaller/disappear? It's likely going to leave a scar, but at this point I'm just worried about getting rid of it. Any advice appreciated. Thanks in advance!

  1. I honestly feel you need an antibiotic - do you have any dental issues that could also cause this?

Your best bet is hot compresses (with a clean wash cloth)

wet, heat and apply and repeat.

Call your MD if it doesn't open and drain.

  2. Whoa it sounds like you do to much for that one  pimple, Just dab alcohol on it and probably put neosporin so there wont be a acne scar. Your probably irritating the pimple more because you do so much for it. Just relax and don't stress to much, and don't touch it! Your fingers are dirty no matter what and when you touch it, its like your feeding it and it becomes stronger. Well hope it helps, If you tried all that I think you can give alcohol+Neosporin a try. ;] Good luck man.
