  1. THere are many kinds of bacteria that live in the sinuses, and this gets rid of all the bad ones!.This is the only thing that really helped me --- my Dr. told me about a sinus wash that will kill bacteria.

    you need

    distilled water

    sea salt

liquid chlorophyll and colloidal silver from the health food store.

in a glass mix 1/4 cup water with a pinch of salt and heat to body temperature.

add 5 drops each silver and chlorophyll and mix.

using a large dropper (like one used for infant medication) drop 2 full droppersfull into one side of the nose while laying down.

Turn the head and let it drain out the other nostril. Be sure to have paper towels handy.

The silver kills the bacteria and there are several hundred kind that can live in the sinus cavities and anti biotics don't get rid of them all.

Do this twice a day for a week, mixing up the mixture fresh each time.

Then do it once a week for maintenance.

There is nothing in this that will hurt you, and it cured me.

I do not have to take claritin, or antibiotics anymore.

    best wishes

  2. Hey LA !!!

I've got a book here called "1,801 Home Remedies"  & I will write down for U all that it says okay, so here we go.

    - U're stuff up, U're face hurts & the presure is getting 2 U.  If a bacterial infection is the cause of U're sinusitis, U're doctor can give U antibiotic that will help.  Otherwise, oral or nasal decongestants can give U temporary releif.  (Don't use them for more than 3 days or the swelling in U're sinises could get worse.)  Of course, U don't have 2 dash off 2 the drugstore every time U're sinuses swell.  There R plenty of other ways 2 reopen blocked passages & help yourself feel better.

1 - Do Some Steam Cleaning:

    - Steam can relieve the painful sinus pressure.  Take a nice long shower, inhale the steam & let the water spray on U're face, then snort & swallow the hot water until U're sinuses R clear.

    - Give U're congested sinusis a mentholated steam treatment.  Boil a pot of water 2 which U've added a few drops of eucalyptus oil, then remove the pot from the stove.  Drape a towel over U're head & shoulders, then lean forward so it forms a tent over the pan.  Keep U're face about 45 centimeters above the water as U breathe in deeply.  As the vapors rises, it carries droplets of oil into U're sinusis & loosens secretions.

    - Don't have any eucalyptus oil on hand ?  No problem.  Just add a teaspoon of Vicks VapoRub 2 the water instead.

    Answer 2 U're question !!!

    Sniff a Salt Solution:

    - Another method of loosening mucus & reducing swelling is irrigating the sinusis with a saline solution.  Make the salt solution by mixing 1-third teaspoon of table salt & a pinch of baking soda in a cup of warm water.  Then fill an ear-bulb syringe with the solution.  Closing 1 nostril with U're thumb, tilt U're head back & squirt the solution into 1 nostril while U sniff.  Blow U're nose gently, then repeat with the other nostril.

    - U can also use a device called a neti pot, available at health food stores.  (it looks like a small watering can with a spout).  2 use the neti pot, place half the liquid in the device.  Standing over a sink, place the spot into 1 nostril, then tilt U're head 2 the side & down, away from the spout.  Pour the saline solution into the nostril.  The liquid will come out the other nostril.  Once it has drain out, blow U're nose gently into a tissue.  Repeat with the other nostril using the other half of the saline solution.

    Heat Those Cavities:

    - Inhale freshly grated horseradish.  The pungent root contains a fiery substance that helps 2 thin mucus.

    - Alternatively, mix equal amounts of grated horseadish & lemon juice & eat 1 teaspoon an hour before breakfast.  Take another teaspoonful an hour before dinner.

    - If U're a fan of spicy-hot foods, add some chilli peppers 2 U're meals.  The peppers contain capsaicin, a compound that breaks up congestion & promotes the drainage of mucus & when U're all out of chilis, U can sprinkle on cayenne pepper instead.  It 2 has all-powerful capsaicin.

    - Many studies show that a substance in garlic called allicin is potent antibacterial & natural antibiotic.  Crush 1 clove of garlic, drop it into a quarter-cup of water & swish it around.  Then use an eyedropper 2 extract some of this garlic water & put 10 drops in each nostril.  At the end of 3 days, U're infection should be well on it's way 2 healing.

    Enter the Land of Ahhhs:

    - A cup of hot tea can help thin nasal mucus.  Chamomile tea was once considered a folk remedy for sinusitis.  If U like it, try it.

    - Another herbal tea 2 try is Red Zinger from Celestial Seasoning.  We heard that 1 opera singer swears by it for sinus problem.  It contains rosehips & lemongrass.  Drink several cups a day as soon as U feel an infection coming on.

    - Get plenty of rest.  When U're lying down, however, be sure 2 keep a pillow under U're head 2 help U're sinuses drain.  Lying flat on U're back without a pillow can make U're congestion worse.

    - Apply a warm washcloth over U're eyes & cheekbones.  Leave it in place until the cloth cools.  Then warm it up again & repeat as often as needed until U get some relief.

    Become a Nose Masseur:

    - Giving U're sinuses a mini-massage will increase blood circulation 2 the area & help 2 chase away the pain.  Using U're index fingers, press hard on the outer edge of U're nostrils at the base of the nose.

    - Another pressure-relieving move:  Apply U're thumbs 2 both side of U're nose, about halfway up, & press firmly on the cartilage.  Hold for 30 seconds, then release.  U can repeat this as U like.

    - For sinus relief using acupressure, use U're left thumb & index finger 2 press the area next 2 the inner eyes on both side id the bridge of U're nose.  At the same time, use U're fingers & the heel of U're other hand 2 grab muscles on both sides of the spine at the back of U're neck.  Put pressure on all 4 points for about 1 minute.

So that all it wrote my friend & good luck with them.  I hope that this give U a few more options & help U in some way.

Good luck fron U're pal Yar

  3. Actually you can buy it at the pharmacy or grocery store in a nasal spray form with the correct concentration.  It's called Saline Spray.  You also can put about 4 table spoons of salt in three cups of water and bring it to a boil.  While it's boiling, place a towel over your head and hold it over the steam and breathe it in.

I wouldn't mix up something and snort it because a strong concentration will burn and cause irritation.  Buying it at the store is the best way.

    I use the Saline spray

    Hope this helps!
