  1. unless you get a fancy watch to tell distance, you can't really tell how far you've gone...but you can do speedups on runs and go at a faster pace for a minute every 3 minutes. that really helps me with speed.

  2. k, so im only answering this cuase i hope that you'll give me a response about a previous question u had asked (but i cant contact you).  did you buy the go basketball pro thing?  (u can tell me via email thru my profile).  thanks

anyways, so for our team (girls varsity), our coach makes us run 16s which abs suck.  most of us dont ever make it and its rare when we do acutally.  but 16s i thijnk are a decent measure of if youre in shape.  (sorry this has nothing to do w/a track either), but 16s are basically pure sprinting for am inute and better for bball cuase its lots of change of direction and stop and go stuff instead of sprinting on a track.

anyways, a 16 is on a bball court, and u start on the long side (so that u run across the short side ot hte court) and run to the other side, and that is 1, so down and back is 2.  u ahve to get 16 touches in a minute (or 8 down and backs).   i know the guys team runs 22s (which aren't hard at all) and i think they'll run like 3 in a row.  which is down and back the long way 2xs in 22 seconds

ok, so i hope this helps and that u tell me about the go basketball pro thing

  3. lol i have NO idea what your talking about. this is just for two points. LOL no i'll try and help though. what i know is that the more you swing your arms, the faster you'll go. keep your hands to your torso, do not let them flail out. you will literally go faster when your moving your hands more and slow your feet down than when your not moving your hands and moving your feet

  4. Go to Mapmyrun.com it is a website that allows you to make maps of a run and to tell your time you need to get a stop watch

  5. go to a track, a normal-sized one (like one at a high school) is 400m all the way around in lane 1, and 800m is 2 laps. you could try a stopwatch to time yourself, just click it when you take off and again when you stop.
