Advice needed. Toddler with consistent fever?

My son is 20 months and has had a fever of 99-102 for months. He has constant Motrin and Tylenol, had his adenoids removed and has his pediatrician, ent and allergist all working together to find out the problem. He has no symptoms other than fever and is a happy boy. Getting very frustrated looking for advice.

Thanks

  1. oh wow poor baby poor you. I have never heard this before.  Maybe find a specialist, not sure what kind maybe an infectious diseases. I assume they took blood etc.? Other than that try lots of cool water. Good luck i know this isn't much help.

  2. id like to say it was just him teething, but months is a long time to hang on to a fever. Has your doctor recommended you go see a specialist? Its apparent that removing his adenoids hasnt remedied the situation, so there has to be something else if he isnt teething all this time constantly.

I would however ease up on the drugs as much as possible, since its been months of this...try a luke warm bath to bring the fever down instead, and insist your doctor run more tests or refer you to a specialist.
