  1. Use this site and plug in all of the vehicles information and you will get the value and good luck.

The insurance company will give you what is called (ACV) actual cash value and you will be responsible for the difference, sorry that it happened.

  2. I'm facing a similar situation as I was in an accident 2 days ago.

My truck was not totaled out because although the damage is extensive, it is repairable. I was lucky...the damage (with the exception of the radiator) is cosmetic (body damage). The vehicle has been inspected and it was determined that it can be fixed...although it will take a few weeks.

The insurance company will determine the actual cash value of your car. Once that is determined, the insurance company will pay off, forward the amount you owe to the finance company and send you what is left. If you owe more than the car is worth, you will be responsible (unless you have GAP insurance...inquire about that).

I have full coverage on my truck and that's a really good thing right now as the estimate for repairs is approximately $8000.

Contact your insurance company for your options. Good luck.
