My girlfriend's B-Day is comming up. She has always wanted to do archery, she bought a bow from a garage sale. She has no arrows. Advice on buying them? I Dont know what the bow is called but it is the kind that uses pullies and the string goes up and down several times. The strength right now is 50lbs but she is having it loosened. Is there a resource to look at for shopping for arrows?

  1. First thing you gotta do is find out the final peak weight of the bow after it's adjusted and the draw length.  You'd also want to ask the person doing the adjustment what kind of cam that bow has.  Then for a first set of arrows, I suggest buying aluminum.  They're cheap enough and easier to work with when you have to do maintenance on it like replacing points and what not.

Go to www.eastonarchery.com they have this thing called the shaft selector.  Or better yet, why not ask the guy adjusting the weight what she should be using.
