Advice on Hollywood Tans?

so summer's almost over and i am no where near as tan as i usually get. so i wanna get a spray tan at hollywood tans.

- have you ever gotten a spray tan [there]? is it good?

- will it make me look orange? cause i'll probably just go this one time, and then again a couple months from now for junior social. i'm not gonna go every time it fades away

- does it have any effect on my skin if i don't get it over and over again?

- how long does it usually take?

- any extra advice?

The new mystic technology that Htans has bought into doesn't look orange at all. Call the salon before you go in to make sure their equipment is working. Exfoliate before hand and use hyper tan or hyper moist before you get in to balance your skins pH and avoid streaks. Don't wear makeup or lotion. If you have any questions ask your tanning consultant, that's what they're there for.

it could make you look orange because the DHA (self tanner) is a brown color and it mixes in with the color of your skin so if your skin is white the brown mixes with it and blends to orange.

it will only last up to 7 days but you could stretch it to 10 if you moisturize daily.

If you get it over and over you will break out. DHA is very harsh on the skin. I did about 3 mist on's in 2 months and by the 2nd time i was breaking out and i do not have sensitive skin.

Takes about 30 seconds if its done by machine but if you airbrush up to 30 minutes.

EXFOLIATE PRIOR TO DOING IT!!! You MUST remove the dead skin build up (REALLY SCRUB UR KNEES AND ELBOWS) because the DHA will stick to the dead skin and make your tan blotchy and will not last long!!! no make up or deodarant either! ONCE YOU SPRAY: dont shower until the next day it needs 6 hours to absorb and take effect in your skin so you wont see results until later!!! then shower the next morning to remove the excess dye that could not absorb into the skin, if you dont shower you will look overly dark and kind of "dirty".

MOISTURIZE twice a day to extend the life of the tan!!

If you do a spray NEVER DO A MYSTIC TAN they are the worst because their solution is too dark for most skin tones.

CALIFORNIA TAN spray systems are the best!!!

Maintain it by using a tinted moisturizer (like the one by Dove not a self tanner) for this will gradually build up color over time so you can stop before you get too dark/streaky and have a healthy glow!!

If your blode don't do it! i have a blode friend that did it and it didn't look that orange it just look really fake because she normally has such pale skin!
