Advice on Turkish Baths.

Generally, how much time should I set aside for a Turkish Bath? Also in Istanbul, would you recommend: Cemberlitas or Cagaloglu? Or any other ones?? Thanks for your feedback :)!

  1. Three of the most popular and authentic Turkish baths are Çemberlitaş, cağaloğlu and Galatasaray Hamams.

    They are all elaborate places, but I think Cağaloğlu Hamamı is the best.

    Check out the Turkish bath at the Ciragan Palace it is really wonderful!!

  3. A minimum of 2 hours for the whole process. It is important that you rest in the changing area (there are individual cubicles) after you come out of the bath itself. This website has really good advice about the customs and rituals involved and recommends both those you mention:
