Advice on baby names.?

These are the names I have narrowed down from my long list.

Michael Roland (Michael for my boyfriends middle name and Roland for my Grandpa R.I.P)

Nathaniel Aaden

Alexis Marie

Madison Whitney (Whitney is my middle name)

Caleb James (James is my grandfathers first name)

Christopher Lucas

Please don't add your own names. If you do then, I might like them and my list will get longer not shorter! LOL So tell me what you think of these and switch them around maybe they can sound better if I hear them from you.

Also I would love for one of the girls middle name to be Blanche for my grandmother. I know it is old fashioned but if I can make it sound good then that would be great. What do you think of:

Alexis Marie Blanche

Madison Lee Blanche?

Give me your opinions on 2 middle names? Is that too much?

Thanks!

  1. I like the first name on the list for a boy,,its nice,,our son has my husbands first name as his middle name,,its nice to add that in there, and to have the middle name be your grandfathers is very nice as well.

for a girl,Madison is very nice

  2. My favorite from your list are Madison Whitney and Caleb James.

I also think Bellanca is a really adorable name and it is related to Blanche.

If you are going to use the name Blanche I would suggest not using another middle name that ends in an "E" sound. I think it sounds a bit off.

Alexis Maria Blanche and Madison Leah Blanche sounds cute.

I don't really like it when people have two middle names without reason because it unnecessary but if you want to honor your grandmother then I think would be special and cute.

  3. I don't like 2 middle names in general. What about just using Alexis Blanche? It seems to be very pretty without the Marie, which is such a common middle name nowadays, though I love it for a first. Off your list, Nathaniel is a name I plan to use, so I like it, but not with Aaden. I plan to use Nathaniel Nicholas, but what about Nathaniel Lucas or Nathaniel James? Both sound strong. As for Madison Whitney, I love it. I like Whitney more than Madison, but it's alright. It's only because Madison is so common right now. As for Michael Roland, the meaning is great- I plan to use my boyfriend's middle name as our second boy's middle name (Ramon), and have the first name represent my heritage (Eric), so both of us were a part of the kid's name. This may work for you, as I don't care for Roland on a kid of this century, and I'm personally sick of Michaels. But that's because I've never known any I liked; obviously you have a much better perception of this name. Anyway, I know that was long, but it was kind of a long question. Overall, good choices!

  4. Caleb James

    Michael James

    Whitney Marie

  5. Your choices are perfectly beautiful! No, I don`t think at all that 2 middle names are too much. I consider them as an advantage because your children can choose later from two more names in case they don`t like their first names.

  6. I know you said not to add our own names in, but I really like Madison Blanche :) I don't like like two middle names. It sounds classy, short, and sweet like that.

  7. Two middle names are fine - middle names are rarely used anyway.  Plus, it'll give the child the option of calling herself "Alexis M. B. [Last name]" or just "Alexis M. [Last name]". Plus, it has meaning for you.

I prefer Alexis to Madison. Madison is a very common name (and so are Madeleine and Madeline!) so there will be lots of little Maddies running around. Plus, Alexis can turn into the nickname Lexi or Alex or just remain Alexis. It's darling and timeless.

Caleb James is my favorite from your list of boys' names. I think Caleb sounds modern and nice, while James has special meaning to you. Caleb James flows nicely.

All in all, Caleb and Alexis are your best choices. Good luck! I hope these names work out perfectly.

  8. I like Michael Roland

    Or Nathaniel Roland even

OR you could do, Caleb James Roland. I think that sounds nice.

For the girl, I think Blanche is an ok name, but she would hate it (possibly), So you could use an alternatve version such as, Bianca or Blanca.

    Alexis Bianca Marie

Madison Bianca (with or without Lee)

Both my children have 2 middle names, and I really like it. :)
