I know this doesnt belong in this section, but im not getting any good answers over in the pregnancy section. i got like three, and they had nothing to do with my question.

Im just curious. I know i give alot of advice, but now i need some lol. Anyways I just started this new birth control when my period ended a week and a half ago. This past saturday i was up visiting my boyfriend (let me just say, he has four kids from a previous relationship, and i have one boy from a previous relationship... plus he's leaving for iraq in sept... so we want more kids, but when he gets back we are going to try) anyways we ended up having lots of s*x :-) plus he also pre-ejaculates alot. Well i missed taking my pill that night (but i took it the next day) and have been late a couple days this week to taking my pill. Just curious of the chances of being pregnant. I know i have to wait til i get my period to take a test (duh!) but i just want to know what are the chances of it being a possibility that i am pregnant since i didnt take my pill that night, and been late taking it a couple days??

after having s*x last sat night... i didnt take my sat. night bc pill... and i didnt take it til sunday night. does that play a factor? is it still possible i could be pregnant? I didn’t take it with a couple hours the next day, I was really late taking the pill I was suppose to take on sat. But what are the chances of still getting pregnant if I continue my birth control.?

Well i was on one kind of birth control for six months, and stopped for a month or two due to i had to have a biopsy done because the birth control was causing me to bleed for two weeks at a time. it wasnt regulating my cycle. so i stopped that kind and my doctor got me a new kind... but i was off of birth control for two months. i just started taking birth control again just recently, like a week and a half ago

  1. When you first start taking the pill you need to use an alternative method of birth control for the first week.  Plus if you take the pills sporadically throughout the day instead of at the same time, that will increase your chances of getting pregnant.  You take them at the same time of day to keep your hormone levels constant. I wouldn't say you are definitely pregnant, but there is a chance that you could be.  All you can do now is wait and see.

  2. Generally it takes one month for your birth control to take a full effect on your body. The doctor will advise to use other methods of protection for the first month of taking your bc pills. There could actually be a possibility of pregnancy b/c you haven't been on birth control that long and you have been taking your pill late. Just try to be on top of the pill b/c if you dont your periods can get really really messed up. i would say there is a slim chance of pregnancy but a slim one. good luck! and I hope this helps.....

  3. you should be ok once you took the one for the day after

  4. As a general rule, they say to use a condom the first month you take birth control pills to allow enough time for the hormones to fully work. Since you were late with a few of them, and if he came inside of you, I would say there is a good chance. It's really hard to say at this point, but certainly take a test if you miss your period.

    Good Luck!
