  1. I had the same problem. I started doing well in school because I wanted to prove to my parents AND MYSELF that I could accomplish SOMTHING. This is your sophmore year, I want to see you succeed a lot. I f'ed up my freshmen year but I learned that most colleges will forgive that as long as the see an upward trend.

My best advice: Do the damnable homework. Do it right when you feel like you don't want to do homework.

  2. 1. Close the door.

    2. Don't turn on instant messaging.

    3. Stay away from myspace, facebook, xanga, etc.

    4. Don't turn on any music.

    5. Sit straight or whatever position that helps you think best. Mine would be curling into a knees-to-chest position. :P

    6. Pay attention to whatever you're reading/doing. If it doesn't make sense, don't skip it. Read it over and over until you understand or ask a friend, etc.

    7. In class, try your best to not sit next to someone you're pretty sure you'd chat with.

    8. Quiz yourself. See if you understand what your teacher expects you to know.

    9. Ask the teacher what might be on the test, review your stuff, etc.

  3. To do your schoolwork, figure out what's distracting you.

Is it TV, internet, extracurricular activities, or socializing with friends?

Basically, you need to cut out or limit whatever you're doing instead of homework. Maybe you could drop a sport, or just spend less time on youtube.

If your schedule is crammed with stuff to do, I suggest taking naps during any time you're not working as a way to optimize efficiency while getting plenty of sleep.

Also, minimize the small distractions by working in an environment that is both neat and quiet. As a college student, I find that I have to be in the library in order to have enough space and silence to complete my work. Furthermore, It's an environment with many fewer distractions and possible excuses.

  4. just concentrate.

  5. you are add or adhd and yes you are

  6. You can accomplish anything you really want to.  So try.  Just try real hard, like you really want to.  Concentrate.  You know what it takes for you personally to learn something.  It might be writing out flash cards for yourself (that works for me) and going over and over and over it til you get it.  Strangely, once you start a pattern of learning things it comes a lot easier.  No lie, its true, it has to do with chemicals your brain puts out so it can learn things. Anyway, just try.  You know what it takes to learn something, just do it.  Make it a game for yourself, set goals and keep reaching them.  Good luck!

  7. drop all your school friends and that will eliminate your distractions.

  8. Some of my students get their work done if they ask their parents to stay afterschool, utilizing school equipment, such as computers and printers.  Many internet sites are banned, which may keep them focused.

  9. you really got to set yourself to a schedule of studying and when you study toward yourself and once you get a good grade then it will make you want to try harder and harder to get more good grades then soon you will be passing with no problem at all

  10. When you start to slip up, think about your freshman year when you let your stuff slide. Think about almost failing. That's usually my motivation to do well. You could also think about how well you're capable of doing, and how crappy you're doing right now. Think about how high school can determine whether or not you get into the college you want to go to in the future. Getting as good of grades as possible is really important and you don't want to mess that up. I really wanted to go to a good school, and I never got anything lower than a 3.5 my freshman year (I'm going to be a sophomore, too) but my mom told me I probably couldn't get into the real top-notch schools even if I did really good the rest of my high school career. And no, I'm not a loser who sits at home all day, I have friends, I go to parties, and I've had a boyfriend of 9 months now. Buckling down really isn't that bad! Good luck though<3

  11. i also have hard time to focus. because i never really cared about school. until how i barely passed!

i solved it by sitting in front of the class rooms or finding a seat where no one will distract me. also, and if i'm falling behind, i'd ask for extra credits

  12. Try doing your homework as soon as you get home from school.

It's not fun to start on work quickly, but this way you can look forward to doing more interesting things when you're done.

When a test is coming up, don't just study the night before, but start studying at least a little bit every day when you first hear about the date of the test. Studying with a friend works, too, if you're both focused!

    Hope I could help. :]

  13. no idea

  14. if your a compulsive person like me, try to train yourself to like have to compulsively do homework and stuff.

  15. u might hav ADD but if u do u probably already kno

  16. i have issues with that too.

i am in the ninth grade though.

but my mind usually trails off else where in class and i can't control it.

i told my parents that i thought i had a.d.d. or something but they said they thought it was a confidence problem...

  17. Get plenty of sleep, stay away from sugary foods, no caffeine, eat healthily and drink lots and lots of water!  This should greatly improve your concentration and ability to retain information.

    Hope this helps some!

  18. aiite babe.pretend ur sittin in a car. alright? now pretend theres an imaginary seatbelt u gotta buckle up. now buckle yaself up

aiite iite now ur officially buckled down for da year. ur gonna get all A's, trust me. dis works. might sound krazy but its krazy nuff 2 work

  19. lmao

  20. My advice is to take a close look at your diet, cut out all caffiene and sugar, switch all your grains to whole grains, focus on moderate amounts of lean protiens and lots of fresh, simple, often raw, fruits and veges, prefeably organic.

And drink lots of good quality plain old water.

If you do this for a month, I guarantee not only will your skin improve drastically, you will find your general sense of physical well being as well as your mental abilities will be vastly improved.

  21. Worry about school. Don't go crazy but if you concentrate on the subjects you will do fine. Just a little bit of studying will help a long ways. You have to understand the subject.

  22. BRAIN FOOD. That's one of many small solutions.

I'd give you some more info on that but you can find so much more by just googling it!

Certain foods help you do certain things - it's simple.

Of course there's no magic "eat carrots and you'll ace this test" - but health is a good thing to have.

You've got to have will power too!

Maybe you could see a doctor - and get LOW DOSE pills that will help.
