Advice on buying a Sony DSLR-A200K Digital SLR Camera?

I have been looking around for a week or so and for the price this camera looks very good but my knowledge of cameras is limited could anyone help or even tell me of a better camera within the price range £200-£300

Push the boat out a little further and go for a Canon 450D, excellent camera for the money.

The Canon 400D or 450D and the Nikon D40 and D60. Canon and Nikon are the top manufacturers off SLR cameras and have many many lenses and accesories for them. The Nikon D40 is probably the cheapest Digital SLR on the market now at under $500 US dollars.

For the amount you wish to spend any DSLR in this price range will do almost the same as the next one, my advice is go to a store and handle them all and then buy the one that feels most comfortable to you.
