I don't have big budget, but I do get lost quite often so think it would be very useful, I'm weekend type driver mainly. Thank you!

  1. although your on a tight budget, its worth digging a little deeper in your pocket to get one of the better systems, i e Garmin or tom tom. whatever you do steer well clear of the navman 300, they have a tendency to pack up, not recognising the memory card with all the data on, plus it usually happens just when the warranty has run out

  2. Big question...do you have a laptop?? If you do, Microsoft Streets and trips is an excelent program. Has a tiny GPS unit...gives you turn by turn instructions, shows stops. trip planner, and you can keep your laptop with you. Costs about 80 bucks.

  3. get a tomtom one off of ebay.  TT is still the best PND for the price

  4. I bought a sat nav in January and did a bit of research back then, looked at lots of reviews and prices. I ended up with a TomTom One system, which is on the cheap & basic side but as a weekend driver I'm very happy with it, it definitely does the job. Halfords was the cheapest place to get it, I found it for £10 less there.
