  1. Honestly, since the British Pound kicks the living tail out of the US dollar at the moment, spring for a pair of Polk SR6500's.  Definitely worth the extra money if you're into the high end stuff.  You can go for a pair of db's in the back.  The rear speakers aren't as important as the front stage, so spring for the big money up front and compromise a little on the rear.

  2. Not sure exactly what the relation from pounds to USD,s but I will try and help. I personally recommend going with a pair of Polk DB series Component speakers. I have these guys and I love them. The RMS rating is about 100 watts and they are 4 ohm's speakers. You could go with the components in the front and if you wanted you could do coxials in the back (personally I would just go with 1 set of components in the front and leave out the back speakers and amp the tweeters as well that way it will still be at 4 ohm's and be ok). I think that thesse will do you great justice and you will love them.
