Question:

Advice on cool mist humidifier

I am needing to use a humidifier a lot lately during the nights, but am curious to know if all of them require filters? Is that how they all work? I am just finding that the filters seem to need replacing quite a bit, and was looking to see if there was a more cost effective one out there. My youngest gets bloody noses during the night, which is why I have been using it. But now I am noticing that my oldest daughter in the same room has been sneezing, runny nose, and watery eyes when she goes to bed at night. Is that maybe because it isn't getting appropriate cleaning? How do you clean a humidifier?

  1. My son had a lot of bloody noses in the winter. I bought a vaporizer because of the advise of a family friend. I really like it and it's nearly eliminated the bloody noses! The mist output is more concentrated to a specific area, not an entire room. And some of them have where you can add Vicks for colds. It's really easy to clean, no filter.

  2. I found information about cleaning humidifier.  Filter in the humidifier is designed to filter out minerals from the water (soften) the water.
