Advice on different wireless routers...?

Hi...I have been looking online for wireless routers. Ours got struck by lightning, and therefore, does not work. I keep coming across old articles from like 2004-2006, and it seems like there should be some newer articles out...explaining the newer technology. So...I need to know what you recommend for WIRELESS routers...brands, models, speeds,etc. I need small & fast!! I would like explained the newer technologies, what is good, what is bad, etc. Thanks for your help in advance!

Can't comment on makes but you should go for a 11g wireless router minimum, you can get faster ones but don't forget if your wireless card or usb stick is only 11b/g you will only be able to use 11b/g option in routers.
