Advice on getting evicted

If i am getting evicted- should I immediately try to pay off late monthes rent or just wait until a later date since i am already going to get evicted (since I could use the money elsewhere).

It'll cost you a little more, but then again, you did not care about paying your rent on time to begin with. </sarcasm>

If you wait for the case to get to court, you will owe a lot more that back rent.  The court will award the landlord back rent, late fees, attorney fees, filing fees, damages and court costs.  Most states will even award the landlord interest.
