You should try getting an internship first. I believe Cosmo girl has a yearly intership posted in their magazine around spring break. Also, look on websites in the career section and see if they have anything posted. Also, you may want to consider moving to LA or NY.

Well, I'm not too sure if this will work cos I'm still in High School but I think you should right a letter or perhaps ring up the magazine you'd like to work with. Although I agree with the first answerer about getting an internship they tend to look better on your CV.
